    This website, and the ArchaeoAnth listserv, are forums for discussion of processual, anthropological, and scientific archaeology in the twenty-first century. They promote the advancement of scientific knowledge and the pursuit of objective truth in the social sciences, most particularly in archaeology. 
 
    We endorse "Archaeology as Anthropology as Science," as the mission statement and the cri de coeur of the New Archaeology. 
 
    ArchaeoAnth is a place of open debate and commentary on issues of common interest to New/Processual archaeologists.
