The ArchaeoAnth ListServ

Its purpose is to stimulate and facilitate discussion of Processual Archaeology in the twenty-first century and benefit those interested in perpetuating the discipline of the New Archaeology, and the legacy of Dr. Lewis R. Binford.

The listserv’s theme is “Archaeology as Anthropology as Science”; hence the domain name ArchaeoAnth.Org. This position asserts that objective truth exists and is knowable, at odds with the core tenets of postmodernism, and that through processual archaeology we are in pursuit of scientific truth of the processes of human culture as an extrasomatic means of adaptation, and understanding how this is represented in the archaeological record.

Subscription to a listserv is simple, and membership implies no affiliation with any organization and entails no expense to you.
